Suds’ Buds of Statistical Wisdom: Week Two

All season long, we’re sharing some key numbers provided by NFL.com stats guy/Philly Flyers wonk Bill Sudell to help get you ready for the weekend’s action.  Sudsy’s choice in hockey allegiance may be questionable, but you can’t argue with the statistics he’s provided below.  With no further ado, here ya go for Week Two…

CLEVELAND AT CINCY

Last week, Brandon Weeden’s passer rating was 5.1. His career minor league ERA was 5.02

AJ Green is averaging 37.5 yards per catch in his career vs the Browns.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis has 558 career touches without a fumble. The law firm has scored 25 TD in his last 31 games.

The Browns have allowed 1 pass TD or less in 5 straight games in Cincinnati.

D.C. AT ST LOUIS

Sam Bradford has gone 16 straight games with 1 pass TD or less

INDY AT MINNY

The Vikings have allowed 30 pass TD in their last 12 games (2 INT).

BALTIMORE AT PHILLY

Baltimore has allowed 1 pass TD or less in 19 straight games

Joe Flacco has 26 TD and 10 INT in his career vs NFC

The Eagles have allowed 7 rec TD to WR in their last 4 home games

The Eagles have not allowed a rushing TD in 5 straight games

Jeremy Maclin has 1 TD in his last 12 home games (12 TD in last 16 on road)

DeSean Jackson has 1 TD in his last 10 home games

LeSean McCoy has 13 TD in his last 10 home games

TAMPA AT NYG

If the Giants were to lose to Tampa, only two teams have made the playoffs after starting 0-2 with both losses coming at home…the 1987 Colts and 2003 Eagles

Eli Manning had 213 pass yards last week against the Cowboys and has thrown for 300+ yards once in 11 career September home games

Vincent Jackson had 2 TD in his only career game against the Giants, and has 16 TD in 22 career games vs NFC

NOLA AT CAROLINA

Saints have allowed a pass TD in 10 straight games

Good news for the Carolina running game…The Saints have allowed 11 runs of 10+ yards in their last 2 games

Drew Brees has thrown for 300+ yards in an NFL-record 8 straight games

NYJ AT PITTSBURGH

Jets allowed 7.5 yards a carry in Week 1 vs Bills

Pittsburgh has allowed only 1 rush TD in its last 6 home games

Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for 183 pass YPG with 3 TD and 7 INT in his career vs Jets (Including playoffs) [EDITOR’S NOTE: only one TD pass vs Rex’s Jets]

Mike Wallace has gone 10 straight games with fewer than 100 rec yards

KC AT BUFFALO

CJ Spiller has 100+ scrimmage yards in 5 of his last 6 games

KC has allowed 150+ rush yards in 4 of its last 5 road games

HOUSTON AT JAX

Maurice Jones-Drew had 10 TD in 10 career games vs Houston.

OAKLAND AT MIAMI

Reggie Bush had 115 scrimmage yards in Week 1, and now faces the Raiders who have allowed 150+ rush yards in 4 straight road games.

Darren McFadden was targeted 18 times by Carson Palmer in Week 1, tied for the most in the NFL with Reggie Wayne.

TENNESSEE AT S.D.

Kenny Britt returns to the Tennessee lineup having scored 12 TD in his last 15 games.

Chris Johnson had a career-low 4 rushing yards in Week 1.  Jake Locker led the Titans in rushing despite not finishing the game.

Malcom Floyd has scored a TD in 4 straight games

ARIZONA AT NEW ENGLAND

The Cardinals have lost 5 straight to New England while being outscored 151-43. In the last 2 meetings in Foxborough, Arizona has been outscored 78-7.

DALLAS AT SEATTLE

The Cowboys defense has 1 INT over its last 7 games

DETROIT AT SAN FRAN

The 49ers have not allowed a rush TD in 10 straight home games

Alex Smith has gone 185 straight pass attempts without an INT and the Lions defense has allowed 10 pass TD in the last 3 road games. Detroit has allowed 340+ pass yards in 3 straight road games

Matthew Stafford has thrown for 300+ yards in 4 straight games

DENVER AT ATL

Julio Jones has 8 TD in his last 5 games

Peyton Manning is 11-3 career on MNF with 29 TD and 12 INT
